HEAD OF ENGINEERING

Permanent, full-time

Come join the technology team at Drvn! We are a start-up leading the way in Connected Vehicle technology,
IoT and data-driven services. We offer in-car technology, web apps and APIs to our customers to improve the
experience of drivers and companies all over Europe. The success of these services requires a reliable, welldocumented and smooth-running platform.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an open-minded engineering manager to join a great team working with IoT, big data, and
real time streaming of events from our connected vehicles. We don’t expect you to know everything about all
of the technologies we use, so you’ll work with other professionals inside and outside the organisation to learn
and develop your skills.

While we are based in Southwark, this position may have occasional travel across Europe.
A development background will set you in great stead but should be well augmented with running services in
production and all the consequences it has. This should naturally trigger an interest in reliability,
infrastructure, logs, and monitoring of what is developed.

Alongside this you’ll spend time managing and shaping the team as the company continues to grow.

  • Help provide the vision of where platform features can add value to customers and support their integration planning and implementation

  • Monitor and advance the companies security stance across both development and IT domains

  • Manage and report on the engineering budget

  • Collaborate in an agile methodology
